A Legacy of Family:

Generations carrying
Awaji's warmth forward.

In 1953, a single inn opened on the coast of Awaji Island. Today, Hotel New Awaji Group has grown into a family-owned collection of over 20 properties across five destinations in Japan's Kansai region. Each hotel honors our founder's vision: to share the spirit of Awaji Island through warm, genuine hospitality passed down through the generations of the family.

Hospitality Rooted in Japan

Thoughtful hospitality inspired by Japanese tradition

We listen before we are asked. We prepare with precision and sincerity. From supporting local farmers on Awaji Island to sourcing seasonal ingredients for every meal, our commitment extends beyond the guest room and into the communities we call home.

The Hotel Group's History

From Island Inn to Award-Winning Hotel Group

From its first inn on the Komoe Coast of Awaji Island, Hotel New Awaji Group has grown into an award-winning collection of hotels and ryokan (traditional Japanese inns) across Awaji Island, Kobe, Kyoto, Lake Biwa, Shikoku, and Okayama. Each property blends traditional warmth with modern comfort, honoring the heritage of its location while welcoming today's international travelers.

The Next Chapter

Inspiring new stays and stories for tomorrow's guests.

As we welcome a new generation of travelers from around the world, our promise remains the same. Two new properties opening in January 2027 mark the next step in that journey, continuing to support the communities we serve and share the very best of Japanese hospitality. Every new chapter reflects our founding belief: that true care creates memories that last.
